Original watercolor, the size of the painting is 12x16 and with a mat 31/2” wide consisting of three layers for a total size of 18"x 22". The colors of the mats have been carefully selected to 
complement and enhance the painting. The painting is painted on Claybord, a museum quality 1/8" panel coated with absorbent kaolin clay. It is archival, lightfast and pH neutral. It can be sealed with Claybord Fixative and framed without glass, but if it has a mat it should be put under glass. 

Coming upon this cove on a summer day, one is struck by its pristine beauty. How natures forces, the water from the land by way of a creek and from the waves reliantly bounding on the shore, have sculpted this cove. Even the marine terraces, which go across the opening, have felt the power of the waves.  If it was a stormy winter day, the mood would be very different than 
this day with its sunlight, blooming flowers, and quiet ocean. Coves like this one help create a beautiful and wild coast here in Central California.
